Creating Your First Agent

Step-by-step guide to creating and configuring your first AI agent.

Prerequisites

  • An Agent Rush account (free tier works)
  • Basic information about your business
  • 10 minutes of your time

Step 1: Access the Dashboard

Log in to your Agent Rush account and navigate to the Agents section from the sidebar. Click the "New Agent" button to start the creation wizard.

Step 2: Basic Information

Configure the basic details for your agent:

Agent Name

A friendly name for your agent. Examples: "Support Assistant", "Sales Bot", "Help Desk"

Description

Internal description of what this agent does (not shown to customers)

Welcome Message

The first message customers see. Example: "Hi! I'm here to help. What can I assist you with today?"

Step 3: Personality Settings

Define how your agent communicates:

Tone

  • • Professional
  • • Friendly
  • • Casual
  • • Formal

Language

  • • Primary language
  • • Auto-detect option
  • • Multi-language support

Tip: Match your agent's tone to your brand voice. If your website is casual and fun, your agent should be too.

Step 4: Add Knowledge

Your agent needs information to answer questions. Add knowledge from these sources:

Paste your frequently asked questions and answers:

Q: What are your business hours?

A: We're open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM IST.

Q: How do I track my order?

A: You can track your order using the tracking link sent to your email, or provide your order number and I'll look it up for you.

Document Upload

Upload PDFs, Word docs, or text files containing product information, policies, or help content.

Website Import

Enter your help center or FAQ page URL - we'll automatically extract the content.

Step 5: Test Your Agent

Before going live, use the built-in test console to have a conversation with your agent:

You:What time do you close?
Agent:We're open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM IST. Is there anything else I can help you with?
You:Can I return a product?
Agent:Yes! We offer a 30-day return policy on all products. Would you like me to help you start a return?

Step 6: Activate

Once you're happy with the test results, click "Activate Agent" to make it live. You can then connect it to your preferred channels (WhatsApp, website widget, etc.).

Congratulations! Your first agent is ready to help customers.
